The students were adults in the commumity. They all said they knew how to sew. So Jennifer and I began teaching how to set up the bobbin and thread the machine. These people were incredible. Professonal dress makers, as they called themselves. Love these people.

During a 2 ½ hour church service, I realized you don’t have to share a verbal language, but rather a physical language can express love and compassion for others. I felt the presence of God during that service without understanding one word that was spoken or sung.

All the things I was concerned about prior to leaving the comfort of my home, I found to be an example of selfishness. What about my living conditions? What about my water? What about my food? What about the diseases?

The Lord opened my eyes and my heart. I was reminded of His words, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ – Matthew 25:37-40

My final revelation I deemed from the trip, was that I had been to the best spa in the world. My God massaged my heart, to keep it strong and tender. He gave me a facial and a pedicure, to keep me cleansed and ready for His next instruction. The message was clear… Jesus Christ is the designer of my life, and He has asked me to be His seamstress.
